Dear Ms Prevedel,
I would like to express my sincere thanks to your organization
for performing maintenance on The Yearling Trail at Pats Island, on the Ocala National
Forest on June 10,2000. I understand that 17
members of your club worked three hours transplanting wiregrass from the trail tread. Wiregrass is a very important plant in the
Longleaf Pine Ecosystem. We received rain on
Pats Island Monday June 12, which should insure survival of the transplants.
It is especially gratifying to see that your organization took
time out from recreating on the forest to help maintain a trail that you, as well as
others, will be able to enjoy in the years to come. Please
accept the enclosed certificate on behalf of your group as a small token of my
appreciation.
Sincerely,
Jerri Marr
